How do I determine the track length?

To calculate the track length, we advise doubling the width of the door. This recommendation allows ample space for the door to clear the opening.

What stops my sliding door?

Our Catch ‘N’ Close series of sliding door track systems utilize gas spring technology at both ends of the door to smoothly guide it into place without requiring user intervention. These systems can accommodate doors weighing up to 300 lbs. or as narrow as 18 inches wide. All our sliding door track systems, including our Catch ‘N’ Close series, are equipped with in-track stops designed to halt the hanger's rolling motion. Additionally, we offer floor stops to effectively stop the door from moving.

Is a powder coat or paint finish available for all hardware options?

While we highly recommend a solid backing, it's essential to consult with a structural engineer to address specific requirements. Please note that KN Crowder cannot assume responsibility for structural support.

What size should my door panel be relative to my door opening?

The ideal door panel size varies based on the specific system or product in use, as different overlaps or clearances may be necessary. For standard barn door systems, for example, we suggest a minimum 2-inch [50.8 mm] overlap on each side of the finished opening and a 2-inch [50.8 mm] height extension beyond the opening height to ensure adequate overlap. Refer to the installation instructions for comprehensive details.

Our products are proudly manufactured in Canada by our dedicated team, using raw materials sourced exclusively from North America.

Do you have a showroom or public installation where I could see your products in person?
